Real Estate Sales Contracts, HUD/FHA-VA & Conventional Lenders, Appraisers, Buyers and Home Inspectors often require, request or recommend a WDI Wood Destroying (termite) Insect Inspection Report. This report is also referred to as a Termite, Pest, WDI or Wood-Boring Insect Inspection Report. Wood Destroying Insects in the Chicago & Suburban Areas include Subterranean Termites, Carpenter Ants, Powder Post Beetles & Carpenter Bees.

The best way to get a good inspection is to hire a company that uses well trained and experienced wood destroying insect inspectors. A WDI for a real estate transaction is generally a limited visual inspection of the readily accessible areas of the property and does not include any dismantling, removing or invasive  procedures.
